My ceramic work celebrates the pleasure of creating and using handmade objects. I make useful and joyful objects for the home and table that are designed to reflect the beauty of the ebbs and flows of daily life. My work is made mostly on the wheel, first throwing the piece and then altering its form by hand. I intentionally leave marks created in this process as a reminder that each piece is unique and handmade.

I fire all my functional stoneware pots to a temperature of over 2,200 degrees which makes it vitrified and ideal for drinking, serving and baking.  I use commercial clay bodies and food safe glazes that can go in the dishwasher and microwave.
